[NEWS] The Masan Cup 2017 Found Its Champion

The owner of this prestigious Masan Cup is Mr. DO DUY HIEN, with the gross of 149. Over the highly competitive and intense games with a play-off, this experienced golfer calmly determined and defeated his younger Korean component Kang Seok.

Lasted for 2 days, April 19th and 20th, 2017, the event gathered over 300 famous golfers from the major domestic tournaments, therefore every game of the event was truly a performance of professionalism and techniques.

Golfer Do Duy Hien has been attending plenty of golf tournaments such as Vietnam Amateur Golf Championship 2014, Vietnam Golf Open Championship 2015, Vietnam Amateur Open Championship 2016 with high ranking and he is considered to be in the top amateur golfers in Vietnam. His competitor is golfer Kang Seok, a very young boy (born in 2011) who achieved the Championship of the 1st HCMC Junior Golf Open 2016. After finishing hole #36 in 2 competing days, both golfers shared the gross of 149 and moved to a play-off match at hole #18, Par4. Kang Seok started unfavorably when the ball flew into bushes, after being found and shot, the ball got overgreen. According to the Committee’s advice, Kang dropped the ball further and finished with a triple bogey. Golfer Duy Hien took the chance and complete hole #18 with a bogey, winning the competition in the middle of the cheering and applauding of an over 100-people gallery.
