On November 12th, the golf tournament OHL Classic at Mayakoba ended successfully with the final championship going to the American golfer Patton Kizzire. As a PGA Tour event in Mexico, this victory is also the first PGA title of Kizzire in his career.
The direct rival of Patton in the final round was Rickie Fowler, both had intensive chases over scores. Particularly, at hole 13, Kizzire made a drive into a hazard, even though he managed to get a par but the 1 stroke penalty was a great chance for his opponent. Fowler also tried hard to take it when getting birdies at hole 13, 16 and 17. His last hole was only a par which was a huge pity, ending the game as a one-stroke Runner-up.
“I was glad to get it done. Rickie made me work hard.”, Kizzire shared. Fowler also commented that “We gave it a run, kept Patton honest, but he earned it out there today”.
This championship gave Patton Kizzire exemption on the 2019-2020 PGA Tour season and gained 500 FedExCup points. In additions, he will have tickets to attend major tournaments such as 2018 Sentry Tournament of Champions, THE PLAYERS Championship, Masters Tournament, PGA Championship and PGA events.
Once again, congratulate the 31-year-old golfer Patton Kizzire on his first PGA title in his career – OHL Classic at Mayakoba.
