[NEWS] The New Champion Of Sony Open In Hawaii 2018 – Patton Kizzire

Taking place from January 8th to 14th, 2018 at Waialale Country Club, Honolulu, the event is also the 20th anniversary of Sony Open in Hawaii, gathering over 70 top professionals such as Justin Thomas – last year champion, Jordan Spieth, Brian Harman, Austin Cook, Gary Woodland…

Through 6 days of the intensive competition, Patton Kizzire and James Hahn both finished regulation at 17-under 263 and went to a 6-hole play-off for the decision. Patton played good and stable to the very last strokes while Hahn was not at the final hole, ending as the Runner-up.

Not only was it the second PGA Tour title in his career, this victory also made Patton Kizzire the first multiple winner of the season and topped the FedEx Cup ranking with 1,213 points.

This is totally a great sign of fruitful upcoming season of this 31 year-old American golfer, even though he is only at 105th of World Golf Ranking. He showed his high determination on this season: “We’ve got a long way to go. A fast start is always a positive. I’m excited to be back on top and look forward to taking that Cup.”
